xAI's latest automation tool can now audit system files to strip preinstalled software and clutter from new laptops. Grok Build identifies unnecessary OEM apps and trial games, presenting a proposed cleanup plan for user approval before making changes to the machine. The assistant also manages startup apps and disables news widgets while leaving critical drivers and security features untouched.
Access to these agentic capabilities requires a Grok plan costing $300 per month. This pricing has prompted some developers to launch open source alternatives such as Korgo bot, which utilizes Hermes to provide dedicated cloud computers for users with existing Grok or Codex subscriptions.
