OpenAI Withdraws Caltech Mathathon Sponsorship After Concerns Over AI in Mathematics
Industry21d agoOpenAI said the rapid advance of artificial intelligence in mathematics is disruptive and that it wants more engagement with mathematicians on how the technology should be integrated and how its effects should be communicated. After concerns were raised by members of the mathematics community, the company said it had notified organizers that it was ending its sponsorship of the Caltech Mathathon.
