OpenAI Extends ChatGPT Subscription Limits to 60 Partner Apps

Paid subscribers of OpenAI's chat service can now utilize their inclusive model quotas within a variety of third party software. Through a "Sign in with ChatGPT" authentication, users with Plus or Pro plans can access OpenAI models inside external tools, including Lovable and OpenCode, without paying for separate licenses. This integration allows the user's existing usage limits to follow them directly into the partner application.

Cognition has already enabled this functionality for its AI developer, Devin, across its Cloud, Desktop, and CLI versions. This "bring your own limits" model removes the need for third party developers to manage separate billing for every individual user, which industry observers describe as a critical shift for the ecosystem of AI assistants.
