xAI releases its latest artificial intelligence model in 10 days following a confirmation from CEO Elon Musk on September 2. Grok 4.7 scales to 2.1 trillion parameters, representing a 40% increase in size over the 1.5 trillion parameter Grok 4.6 released around August 7.
The schedule establishes a launch on September 11, marking one of the longest advance notices for a model release in the company's history. This update follows Musk's statement that the larger model would arrive a few weeks after the initial Grok 4.6 deployment to expand the launguage model's capacity.
