OpenAI Adds Secure Website Sign-In to ChatGPT Work to Automate Manual Browser Tasks
Products37d agoSubscribers to the Plus, Pro, and Business tiers can now use a cloud-based computer to sign into websites on behalf of the user. The feature, available on web and mobile, allows the assistant to perform authenticated actions such as booking passport appointments or submitting invoices to accounting software without OpenAI accessing the user's password.
The update introduces WebMCP support in the desktop app’s browser to facilitate Shopify storefront interactions and extends browser extension support to Edge, Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi. Additionally, Plus and Pro users can now set tasks to trigger based on changes in Slack, Gmail, and Github, while Free users can create up to 3 scheduled tasks.
