Interfaze AI Accused of Copying Chandra OCR 2 for Alleged First of Kind Model

Developer Vik Paruchuri alleged on October 7 that Interfaze AI copied the Chandra OCR 2 model and rebranded it as the interfaze-1-lite system, citing an olmocr score of 83.8 for the new model compared to 85.8 for the original. Interfaze AI released interfaze-1-lite on October 5 as a general open-weight model for deterministic work, including classification, extraction, and speech-to-text.
