China Blocks $5.4B SoftBank Purchase of ABB Robotics Unit

China blocked SoftBank's $5.4B purchase of ABB Robotics Unit. The National Development and Reform Commission informed the company that it would not approve the purchase. The NDRC is concerned the transaction would allow strategic data to move out of the country to train AI models.
