ChatGPT Work Adds Secure Website Logins to Automate Paid Accounts Without Password Access

OpenAI is expanding the capabilities of its AI agents to navigate and interact with external websites on behalf of users. The feature allows ChatGPT Work to sign into accounts on web and mobile devices using a dedicated browser and computer interface without the model accessing the user's username or password.

The rollout covers users on Plus, Pro, and Business tiers. The assistant can now automate browser-based workflows, including booking DMV or passport appointments, managing utility setups for new apartments, and submitting medical reimbursement paperwork.
