Mecka AI has raised $60 million in a Series B round led by Sequoia, bringing its total funding to over $120 million, to develop a deployment layer for general purpose robotics. The company is using the investment to create the first internet-scale dataset for physical AI, which practitioners identify as the primary bottleneck in the field. The funding will support the development of custom multi-sensor capture hardware and a computer vision lab designed to convert raw footage into structured training signals, with the company currently hiring engineers to scale both hardware and software operations.
