The company builds virtual training grounds and benchmarks to move AI capabilities beyond code generation into professional knowledge work. By focusing on high-quality verification rather than simply increasing training volume, the startup enables models to master intricate tasks such as financial modeling. These tools are currently used by four of the top five closed-source AI labs in the US.

Halluminate recently raised a $30M Series A funding round led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from Y Combinator, Orange Collective, FT Partners, and Heavybit. The team of fewer than 10 employees is developing reinforcement learning environments and hopes to eventually create simulated companies where teams of AI agents learn to work together.
