Users of the Computer tool can now access the latest Sol model for fewer credits across all platforms. Perplexity has lowered the cost of GPT-5.6 Sol credit pricing by 20%, a change that remains active through November 21, 2026, for all subscribers regardless of their device.
This move follows a pricing update from OpenAI, which slashed API input costs by 20% and output costs by 33% to $4 and $20 per million tokens respectively. The Agent Arena benchmark shows these costs have shifted the Pareto frontier, lowering the cost per task in the Work category to $2.59 and the Code category to $4.08.
