A consortium of banks provided financing Wednesday to support a new data center project in Indonesia for the Nvidia-backed firm Zankore. The $3.1 billion loan is one of the largest AI infrastructure deals in Asia and incorporates a revenue-sharing and credit-support structure from Nvidia to reduce lender risk. This financial arrangement makes GPU-backed infrastructure easier to secure from traditional lenders.

The facility will operate at an initial capacity of 100MW with a design allowing for expansion to 1GW. Citigroup, ING, Natixis, Qatar National Bank and UOB underwrote the deal for the acquisition of advanced Nvidia GPUs to power the Indonesian factory.
